This is a view of the Charles Bridge in Prague, capital of Bohemia. Each side of the bridge is adorned with mounted statues of saints, some of which can be seen at centre. Atop the heights of the Hradcany district in the distance Turner has rendered the exterior walls of Prague Castle and steeple of St Vitus Cathedral in summary outline.
