These sketches, which are continued on the folio opposite (Tate D30938; Turner Bequest CCCVI 28), show the River Elbe in Saxony. The uppermost view depicts Lilienstein Mountain and the town of Königstein, overlooked at right by Königstein Mountain and Fortress.
