With the sketchbook turned in accordance with the foliation, Turner has drawn a squared-off jotting of Lilienstein Mountain.
The other views are drawn with the book turned horizontally, in landscape format. They show Königstein fortress and town from a vantage point on the Schandau Road and Königstein again, with the fortress at right and Lilienstein Mountain in the distance.
