From a vantage point on the Lohmen-Uttewalde road, here Turner depicts Lilienstein and Königstein mountains in Saxon Switzerland. The other sketches, rendered with the sketchbook turned in accordance with the foliation, show the gorge of Uttewalder Grund (see also Tate D31005–D31006; Turner Bequest CCCVI 61a–62).
