The page contains a sketch of what Finberg identified as a ‘Gothic church at Harfleur’1 and the location of Harfleur has been confirmed.2 (For further information on Harfleur, see under folio 1 recto, D23699.) However, Turner records architectural and decorative elements, for example gables and tracery, in some detail, which render the building identifiable further as the Church of Saint-Martin, constructed between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.3 Turner depicts the church’s south side.
