The page contains a rough sketch, drawn with the page turned upside down, of the machicolated Coquesart tower of Tancarville castle. Finberg identified this sketch as ‘Tancarville Castle’,1 and this location has been confirmed.2 Turner’s inscription on the right of the sketch seems to read ‘Tancarville’ but spelt with a ‘k’. (For further information on the castle see under folio 46 recto; D23788.)
