The page contains two sketches, both drawn horizontally, of riverbank scenes. Finberg noted this page as ‘View on river’,1 but the location has been further specified as Rouen,2 on the River Seine. The upper sketch shows a stretch of river with high riverbanks. The structures on the right are likely to be windmills. The lower sketch is more detailed and depicts figures, boats and buildings on the river’s edge. The hill depicted on the left of both sketches would correspond with Rouen’s Mont Sainte-Catherine.
