With the page turned horizontally, this swiftly drawn sketch is a view of Amsterdam, perhaps from the Singel. Shown are the medieval Herring Tower (Haringpakkerstoren) on the left, the Ronde Lutherse Kerk or Koepelkerk in the centre and the Jan Rodenpoortstoren on the right.
