Although bound into the book upside-down and among the apparently later, loose drawings of trees on folios 35 verso, 80 verso and 81 verso (D00497, D00543, D00545), this is evidently a study from the same time as the Welsh subjects at the front of the book. The cliffs may be part of the formation recorded in folio 24 recto (D00485). This subject is repeated more summarily on folio 83 verso (D00549).
