This sheet is difficult to place; Finberg listed it with miscellaneous drawings of about 1795. Its pencil work is very tentative. It is perhaps related to the 1794 Midland tour; compare the studies of Ely Cathedral, Tate D00350 and D00351 (Turner Bequest XXI W, X).
