Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the composition continues across folio 40 recto opposite (D01198; Turner Bequest XXXVII 81). This is probably a scene on the Thames, with the towers of Westminster Abbey in the left distance and Chelsea Church at the right, seen from Battersea.
