The subject is drawn with the page turned horizontally. After the publication of his 1909 Inventory, Finberg suggested that this is the Manor House at Knaresborough.1 David Hill implies disagreement with this, describing the subject simply as ‘Unidentified manor house between Kirkstall and Knaresborough’.
