Turner scholar David Hill refers to this subject, drawn with the page turned horizontally, as ‘Gateway and old manor house’ at Furness; but also as ‘the infirmary chapel’; see the preceding leaf, folio 76 recto (D01063; Turner Bequest XXXV 61). Another study at Furness Abbey is on folio 75 recto (D01062; Turner Bequest XXXV 60).
