This series of seven finely executed views depicts the Moselle valley near Treis and its ancient feudal castle. Turner records two figures towards top right, apparently in the process of ‘mending a wall’, and notes that the colour of the Burg Treis (‘B T’) is a ‘Beautiful... Light Grey’.
