Our assembled team of volunteers lead tours through our new Archive gallery spaces

Uncover amazing stories relating to the history of Tate Britain using Tate’s Library and Archive collections. Some tours include exploring archive material relating to Barbara Hepworth, see information desk for details. 

I was persuaded to join a tour to learn about ‘the archive’ rooms …  interesting, informative and introduced me to an area of the gallery that I didn’t know existed. I look forward also to try out the interactive screens

Tate Archives holds over a million items relating to the history of British art, including papers created by Francis Bacon, Kenneth Clark, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Graham Sutherland and Walter Sickert.
