On the left is a loose sketch of buildings on the south bank of the River Thames, looking south-east from upstream of London Bridge; the main part of the view is on folio 5 verso opposite (D18715), under which the subject is discussed. The right-hand half of the present page shows the familiar Turner subjects of the Monument and the tower of St Magnus the Martyr’s Church, near the north end of the bridge.
