Arthur G. WALKER 1861–1939
Sculptor, painter, illustrator and mosaic designer. Born 20 October 1861 in London. Studied at the R.A. Schools from 1883. Exhibited at the R.A. from 1884 and in the Paris Salon; won medal 1902. Designed mosaics for the Greek Church, Bayswater, and modelled the figures of Florence Nightingale in Waterloo Place 1913 and of Mrs Pankhurst at Westminster 1930. Died 13 September 1939 at Parkstone, Dorset.
