George Havard THOMAS 1893–1933

Sculptor of portrait busts and figures. Born 9 May 1893 in Sorrento, son of James Havard Thomas. Worked with his father and studied under him at the Slade School, October 1914–April 1915 and 1919–20. Served in the 1914–18 war; awarded the M.C. Appointed Assistant Lecturer at the Slade School in 1920. Exhibited at the R.A. from 1919. Died in London 1 December 1933.
