Technique and condition
This watercolour over pencil study has been executed on cream, laid paper. It is in fair condition but suffers from adhesive residues on the verso and matt burn marks around the edges of the support.
On acquisition the work was locally cleaned and adhesive residues removed from the verso. The work was inlaid into 'Zerkall' 150gsm toned wove paper, with lens tissue tabs and methyl-cellulose. It was pressed prior to being mounted into a 'Dull white' museum board.
