Sent for exhibition at the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, 1922, but rejected. Muirhead exhibited a number of portraits and heads of girls from 1911 onwards, e.g. ‘The Listening Girl’, exhibited at N.E.A.C., winter 1911 (12), and ‘Girl at a Mirror’, exhibited at N.E.A.C., summer 1916 (16).
