Painted at Arfleet, near Corfe Castle, with Katharine Everett and her son Tony as models.

A drawing in watercolour and charcoal of a child's rocking-horse, like the one in this picture but seen in profile, appears in the sketch-book formerly in the possession of C. H. Collins Baker and now in the Tate Gallery library.
