Verso of D07514; Turner Bequest CIX 3. Inscribed by Turner in pencil ‘Banks of Arun’ and with verses:
Then gleam shone young hope what tender gleam
When Colin all in thought along thy stream
By sedgy Arun awaited the crimson ray
Or rose to give thy varied charms to lay
A second quatrain is illegible.
