This symposium looks at the relationship between philosophy and art, inspired by the work of François Laruelle. His ‘non-philosophy’ questions the idea that philosophy can tell us what it means to think, especially about subjects like art, which is already a way of thinking in itself. This symposium examines non-philosophy and encourages participants to explore new ways of thinking and creating.

There will be an informal follow up event on Sunday 25 February. It will be a three hour writing and planning session led by Lois Keidan and Gary Anderson. The aim of this session will be to critically reflect on Saturday's symposium. The Sunday workshop will give participants a chance to share and build possible alliances for future collaborations. All welcome. Brunch provided.
