The first major non-philosophy and art research event.

This symposium looks at the relationship between philosophy and art, inspired by the work of François Laruelle. His ‘non-philosophy’ questions the idea that philosophy can tell us what it means to think, especially about subjects like art, which is already a way of thinking in itself. This symposium examines non-philosophy and encourages participants to explore new ways of thinking and creating.

Invited Speakers:

  • Edia Connole
  • Laura Cull Ó Maoilearca
  • Lois Keidan
  • Anne-Françoise Schmid
  • François Laruelle
  • John Ó Maoilearca
  • Alan Read
  • Alice Rekab
  • Lorena Rivero de Beer
  • Anthony Paul Smith
