Joachim Schmid, Photogenetic Draft #10; two halves of different b/w photos

Joachim Schmid, Photogenetic Draft #10

This seminar enables participants to further explore and discuss the issues raised by the panel Everyday and everywhere: vernacular photography today. The seminar is limited to 25 participants and is led by Kathy Kubicki.

The session investigates the issues surrounding personal and public photography, photography and the internet and social networking sites, changing ideas of the archive and the family album. Followed by a discussion into the way that artists have utilised found and personal photos in their artistic practice.

A selection of texts form the basis of discussion at the seminar. Details of the texts will be made available to participants.
