Discuss how we use sound, film and performance to communicate with one another

Join like-minded artists Christine Sun Kim and Aura Satz for an open conversation that celebrates and examines themes explored in Kim’s Face Value workshop. The evening concludes with a screening of the short collaborative film made by workshop participants.

This event will be ASL and BSL interpreted.

About Christine Sun Kim and Aura Satz

Christine Sun Kim is a Berlin-based artist working with sound and visual language. Deaf from birth, Kim draws from her own experience to explore the physically expressive and communicative nature of sound as well as the way physical touch can inform language.

Aura Satz’s work encompasses film, sound, performance and sculpture. Her work has been performed, exhibited and screened nationally and internationally and she is currently Moving Image Tutor and Reader in Fine Art (Sound and Moving Image) at the Royal College of Art.
