Technique and condition
The image is painted in watercolour with pencil under drawing on cream wove paper. The work is in good condition. A slight discolouration is visible on the recto and verso of support where the acidic window mount bevel has been in direct contact with the sheet edges. The primary support has yellowed due to exposure to atmospheric conditions.
On acquisition the verso of the primary support sheet was cleaned to remove loose surface dirt; residual adhesive and paper remnants on the recto were removed and the work pressed prior to being inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
