Technique and condition
The image is painted in watercolour applied over a pencil underdrawing on cream wove paper. The work is in good condition although it has suffered creasing, abrasion and discolouration from its mount and from being backed onto a paper support with animal glue.
On acquisition the work was removed from its mount prior to being pressed, inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
