See entry on T03500. These two ‘Prometheus’ maquettes are both of the first idea for a commission from the ‘Palais de la Découverte’ at the Grand Palais, Paris, and show the reclining figure of Prometheus safeguarding the flame with one hand, while with the other holding back a vulture.
