Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden Talk

Tate Talk: Behind the scenes at Trewyn

7 April 2016 at 18.30–19.30
28 April 2016 at 18.30–19.30

Delivered by conservators and other experts, these talks give a behind the scenes look at how Hepworth's work was made and how it is conserved today at Trewyn Studio.

7 April - Tate Sculpture Conservator Melanie Rolfe managed the Barbara Hepworth Studios Conservation Project between 2014-2015. The project aimed to provide urgent and strategic care for Hepworth’s preserved studios in St Ives. In this rare chance to visit the museum after hours, she will share the work that she has undertaken and discuss the role of conservation in the studio and gardens.

28 April - David Vallance a consultant from the world famous Morris Singer Foundry talks about working with Barbara Hepworth and the techniques she used for casting in bronze.
