Identity affects everything, what you say and how you say it. Who’s listening?

Head over to Tate Britain for BP Loud Tate: i.d, a free day of artist-led workshops, music, film, performance and talks to explore questions of power, politics and identity. There will be everything from street art to beat boxing, film-making and badge-making, alongside an exciting line-up of music.

BP Loud Tate is a free annual art, music and performance event at Tate Britain programmed by Tate Collective London for 15–25 year olds.

Music

Novelist

True to his identity as a rapper, producer and top Grime MC, catch Novelist’s headline performance expressing what it means to be a London youth in today’s culture.

Ms Banks

16.00–16.45, Room 1840

Multi-award winning rapper Ms Banks stands for female empowerment and individuality, encouraging women to be themselves no matter what society expects of them.

ThisisDA

14.00–14.45, Room 1840

Bristol based ThisisDA’s sounds throwback to classic hip hop, brought into 2015 with his conscious lyrics and laid back beats.

Teminite

13.00–13.45, North Duveen

Generating tens of millions of views on YouTube in the past year alone by producing outro’s for gaming channels, special guest DJ, glitch hop, dubstep and drumstep producer Teminite has definitely got something to show us.

Shea Burke

DJ Shea Burke presents the finest in old-school house sounds.
