The Family Gallery is a playful exhibition and evolving experience co-created by two amazing families, an artist, and the Tate Early Years and Families team. Together, we explore what it means to be human and the creativity, chaos, and care that family life brings.
Part of the Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, this project celebrates everyday creativity and the stories that shape us. It invites you to look closely, create something new, and experience art through the lens of family life.
Follow the trail to discover activities, installations, and interactive moments that encourage exploration and play. Make noise, experiment, and find new ways to be together through art. This space belongs to everyone — a place to see, create, rest, and wonder together.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 6–15 November 2025. Being Human is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
