James McNeill Whistler, Nocturne: Blue and Gold - Old Battersea Bridge c.1872–5. Tate.

Join this exclusive tour and dinner to accompany the landmark James McNeill Whistler exhibition

This is a truly unique opportunity to enjoy a tour of the James McNeill Whistler exhibition, followed by a walking tour of Chelsea, before ending the evening at the exclusive, members-only Chelsea Arts Club.

We will begin with a one-hour tour of the James McNeill Whistler exhibition, led by Dr James Hicks, one of our most experienced and engaging Tate art experts.

Once we have been immersed in the life and work of Whistler, we will pause for refreshments in the Members' Room before making our way into Chelsea. Led by Dr James Hicks, we will follow the Thames, visiting locations connected to many of the works of art you will have seen in the exhibition.

Along the way, we will also visit the site of Whistler's studio and the surrounding streets before making our way to Old Church Street, where we will conclude the evening at the famous, members-only Chelsea Arts Club, co-founded by James McNeill Whistler himself.

We will enjoy a three-course dinner in a private dining room, with exclusive access to a space containing numerous references to Whistler and works associated with him. We are honoured to collaborate with Chelsea Arts Club to offer a small number of Tate guests the opportunity to attend this truly special dinner in celebration of the James McNeill Whistler exhibition.

Places are strictly limited. To book please email Tour.Bookings@tate.org.uk
