Explore how human beings affect the environment

In response to News from Nowhere, Tate Collective Producers in collaboration with AV artist Sam Wiehl present their reactions to environmental issues including climate change and waste disposal. A full day programme, featuring music, workshops, Tai Chi and performance. Come and check out what we have created and share your own response.

Programme

The Ancient Art of Tai Chi

The Studio, 1st Floor
11.00, 13.00, 15.00

The ancient art of Tai Chi has been promoting self-healing for hundreds of years. Join teachers from the Pagoda Tai Chi Group, in this introduction, demonstration and workshop.

No need to book a place, just turn up. Places are allocated on a first come basis. Each session last 30 minutes. Everyone welcome!

DJ Set

The Studio, 1st floor
11.30, 14.00, 16.00

In response to the themes of order and chaos, Tate Collective Producer Tiz and DJ partner Dan present a specially curated, hour-long set of audio works, ranging from 1990s contemporary classical to 1950s electronica.

Thank You for Your Patience

The Studio, 1st floor

Hector Dyer presents a 20 minute, specially adapted performance of Thank You For Your Patience. The show explores environmental collapse and the world without humans. A one-person performance weaving together storytelling and spoken word looking at the legacies we are creating for future generations.

News from the Future

What will the world be like in the future? Join Tate Collective Producers, in this creative workshop to design and create your own newspaper headline of the future.
