Towards a bigger picture: Contemporary British photographs

Towards a Bigger Picture is the first exhibition of photography to be held at Tate Liverpool, and marks the gallery's contribution to the national programme of events in 1989: 150th Anniversary of the Public Announcement of Photography. It has been selected from the national collection of photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum by the curators of photography.
