Investigate theories of personality types and curate your own study of the artistic temperament

Drop in and think about the seemingly strange production of personality charts, constellations, tests, typological ‘mind maps’, traits and diagnoses. What does it mean to be a creative type?

For this vibrant and thought-provoking workshop, you will follow a trail through Tate collection artworks on display at Tate Modern, and explore these ideas in relation to artists and works of art. Returning to our ‘production’ point on Level 5, you will then create your own spectrum of the artistic temperament using a kaleidoscopic mechanism.

This event is programmed by Bethlem Museum of the Mind, a Tate Exchange Associate.

About Bethlem Museum of the Mind

Bethlem Museum of the Mind is the museum of Bethlem Royal Psychiatric Hospital (the original Bedlam), the oldest mental health care facility in the world, founded in 1247. It holds an internationally renowned collection of archives, art and historic objects, which together offer an unparalleled resource to support the history of mental healthcare and treatment.
