Within Tate Exchange, public works are re-enacting their Civic University – an experimental learning model that draws together a network of local and international civic classrooms. Located in cities, these classrooms defy traditional urban teaching and disciplinary confinement.
Through exploring what constitutes the civic in the city and how to re-design structures that restrict it, public works create sustained relationships that build trust and enable people to work together in city making.
