A bit more about the special guests joining us for Super Sunday:
Mor Poets
Mor Poets (‘Sea Poets’) are a shoal of women poets living in Cornwall. This poetry collective was founded by Ella Walsworth-Bell from Falmouth, combining her love of the sea and poetry. Mordros: sound of the sea is the Mor Poets’ third book and was supported by FEAST.
This followed the publication of their sea swimming poetry anthology Morvoren, and surf poetry anthology Mordardh, supported by Arts Council England and shortlisted for the Holyer an Gof award.
The Mor Poets developed their poetry into a live show with Carn to Cove. They believe in the radical power of the feminine and the sea, and that everyone is capable of creating art and poetry; if you can swim in Cornish waters in the winter, you can do anything!
Lauren Gauge
Lauren Gauge joined Mor Poets in 2023 and is an award-winning artist, theatre maker, actor and poet. Her debut poem-turned-play, The Unmarried, which she wrote and starred in, is a riot and a rave of masterful comedic feminist lyricism; rhythmically underscored by a live mix of beat boxing and 90’s Garage anthems. The Unmarried won the Hiive and Lyric Hammersmith Award for New Writing, was selected as Pick of the Fringe at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Gauge won Miro Magazine’s ‘Outstanding Performance’ award.
Ella Walsworth-Bell
Ella Walsworth-Bell’s short story about inclusion, Knitting for teenage boys, placed second in the Perito Prize and her stories have also appeared in Cornwall Writers’ anthologies Beneath and Beyond and Secret and Hidden.

Leach Pottery is a place of creativity, connectedness and being well, committed to bringing clay to life, celebrating its rich history and supporting a vibrant future for studio ceramics. As a registered charity they are an ambassador for pottery, a champion for the handmade, and an open door for communities to access creativity. They are never happier than when they welcome people to their home, whether they are visiting the Museum and Shop or getting their hands dirty at one of their workshop sessions.
