Our partnership

The Burberry and Tate partnership began with Burberry’s support of Tate Britain exhibition programme, before evolving into support of Tate’s Conservation work in 2025.

Through the partnership, Burberry hosted their Winter Show within the iconic Duveens at Tate Britain in February 2025. The Show highlighted Tate and Burberry’s shared commitment to artistic expression, through the convergence of fashion and art.

Burberry supported exhibitions: Sarah Lucas: Happy Gas

The Burberry and Tate partnership began with Burberry’s support of Sarah Lucas: Happy Gas at Tate Britain, 28 September 2023 – 14 January 2024.

This exhibition saw British artist Sarah Lucas’ brash and tender exploration of what makes us human. Internationally celebrated for her bold and provocative use of materials and imagery, Lucas used ordinary objects in unexpected ways, challenging our understanding of sex, class and gender.

The exhibition presented her practice in all its diversity across sculpture, installation and photography, narrated in her voice, and looking well beyond the 1990s Young British Art world.

Tate’s Paintings Conservation Studio

In February 2025, the partnership evolved through Burberry’s support of Tate’s world renowned Paintings Conservation Studio housed at Tate Britain which cares for Tate’s collection of paintings spanning five centuries.

Burberry’s support plays a key role in sustaining Tate’s conservation efforts and ensuring that the art from the past is preserved for future generations to enjoy.

Together, our partnership champions the preservation of culture and is centered around the convergence of heritage, craftmanship and creativity.
