The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh
Opening in May 2025, The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House marks the first major solo showing of the artist’s work in London. Do Ho Suh invites visitors to explore his large-scale installations, sculptures, videos and drawings, asking questions about home, identity and how we move through and inhabit the world around us.
This exhibition is enabled through the Tate partnership with global automative brand Genesis. With its commitment to cultivating authentic experiences, Genesis Art Initiatives collaborates with visionary artists and institutions across the globe to uncover profound values that transcend time. Building on Tate’s longstanding partnership with Hyundai Motor, the Tate and Genesis partnership champions the shared vision of embracing the complexities of our time through diverse and risk-taking contemporary art.
“We are honored to embark on Genesis Art Initiatives in Europe through our expanded partnership with Tate, supporting the highly anticipated exhibition by Do Ho Suh. The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House takes us on an artistic journey, reaffirming timeless values that transcend both spatial and temporal boundaries through the voice of this renowned visionary.”
Euisun Chung, Executive Chair of Hyundai Motor Group
“I am extremely grateful to Genesis for their generous support of this exhibition. It builds on our longstanding work with Hyundai Motor, who have been invaluable in championing diverse and risk-taking contemporary art at Tate, supporting curatorial research alongside major commissions. I'm thrilled to see this commitment continue to grow through Genesis Art Initiatives and Do Ho Suh’s profound reflections on our modern world are the perfect way to begin our new partnership.”

The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House features a number of new site-specific works on display for the first time, the creation of which has been made possible with the generous support of Genesis through the Tate and Genesis partnership. These include the newly created large scale installation Nest/s 2024, and Perfect Home: London, Horsham, New York, Berlin, Providence, Seoul 2024. Genesis has also supported the repurposing of several of Suh’s immersive artworks which examine the relationship between architecture, space, the body, and the memories that make us who we are.
“Do Ho Suh’s comprehensive examination of memory and movement provokes a broader reflection on how our perspectives of space and time evolve in resonance with both individual and collective history. The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House will bring us together in a shared space of dialogue to discover the profound in the everyday.”
DooEun Choi, Art Director of Hyundai Motor
