Painted in September 1960. The artist said that this picture was inspired by nature in the sense that it was derived from observation of the park of a villa at Viareggio. It is a theme in which he first became interested at the end of his stay at Viareggio in the summer of 1960. (Information transmitted by the donor, 19 May 1965).
