The artist wrote in June 1974 that the procedures employed in these lithographs were the same as in his large screenprint ‘Surfacing’ 1971 (46 x 62¿ in.), which required thirty-three printings and of which an account approved by the artist is given in Richard Morphet, ‘Bernard Cohen’, in Fourteen Big Prints, Bernard Jacobson, 1972.
