Not inscribed
Photograph and screenprint, printed at The Printshop, Amsterdam, published by Art & Project, Amsterdam and Multiples Inc., New York in an edition of 45, 32 1/8×67 (81.6×170.2)
Purchased from Nigel Greenwood Inc. (Grant-in-Aid) 1980
Related to ‘Roquebrune’ 1979, in which a painting on canvas and a photograph on canvas are put together in the same way, juxtaposing the ‘reality’ of photography and the ‘art’ of Van Elk's painted equivalent as two depictive methods. The photograph in both works is of rocks at Roquebrune in the South of France.
