Fadojutimi’s practice is intuitive and abstract. Shifting between gestures and repeated forms she produces her own distinctive visual language. The artist works fast, often painting through the night, completing her works in a single sitting. Fadojutimi discovers accidental visual references in her paintings that inform her titles. After completing I Present Your Royal Highness, the artist felt she had painted a queen. Fadojutimi’s work explores the fluid nature of identity and the world that shapes it. Her dynamic surfaces capture an ever-evolving landscape of emotions. She describes her paintings as a diary of her life.
