Technique and condition
An oil painting on cream wove paper. The work is in good condition. Slight damage to the edges of the work are due to the removal of a previous window mount. Discolouration and staining visible on the verso has been caused by the oils from the paint migrating from the recto.
On acquisition the paper tape hinges remaining on the verso were removed. Residual adhesive on the verso was removed and the work pressed prior to being inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
