Coll: C.A.S., purchased 1940 from an unrecorded source.
On the back there is a label suggesting that this work was exhibited in one of the annual Goupil Gallery Salons, but it has not been possible to trace this. Another watercolour of ‘Sand Dunes and Rocky Coast’ was exhibited at the Goupil Gallery, March–April 1939 (13; repr. Studio, CXVII, 1939, p.404).
