Lit: Rosemary Miles, The Complete Prints of Eduardo Paolozzi (exh. catalogue) Victoria and Albert Museum, 1977
These two images were each separately printed in editions of 10, published by the artist (op.cit., nos.20 and 21). The word ‘PLAZA’ was omitted in the final version. These (and others made the same year) are related to Paolozzi's animated film ‘History of Nothing’, 1960–2, made from engraved illustrations of machinery, interiors and townscapes.
