Catalogue entry

This is the left half of a double-page spread continued to the right on folio 51 (D10961), opposite, recording the view from the north-west of Middleham, towards Middleham Bridge, looking along the River Ure to Middleham Church and Castle. It is taken from a slightly nearer viewpoint than the previous sketch across folio 49 verso and the recto (D10958–D10959).
For Middleham in this sketchbook see folio 47 verso (D10954).
