Catalogue entry

Having climbed to the summit of Ben Arthur (The Cobbler) (folio 60 verso; D26555), Turner descended the eastern slope of the mountain to the shore of Loch Long. This sketch was made from near the summit, and looks east down the steep slope of the mountain and over Loch Long (at the left) and Loch Lomond (at the right) to Ben Lomond in the distance at the left. Further views over the two lochs are on folio 59–60 verso (D26552–D26555).
