Catalogue entry

This page contains a number of overlapping sketches. With the page turned vertically a tower is seen on a cliff or headland with a small boat in the foreground. With the page inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, there is a larger outline view of what may be the same building, and a smaller sketch of a building in a setting which continues on folio 77 recto opposite (D35622).
These subjects are presumably on a Channel coast. See the sketchbook’s Introduction for the many slight coastal views scattered through it.
