For Turner’s excursion on Lake Thun in 1802 see mainly drawings in the Lake Thun sketchbook, for example Tate D04717; Turner Bequest LXXVI 60, a view of the landing stage at Neuhaus towards the Niesen. This drawing, and another from this sketchbook (D04636; Turner Bequest LXXV 44), were also made nearby.
